I can't take it anymore -
November 28th 2010, 03:22 AM
I was born with a very rare disease. I had to spend the first 6 years of my life mainly in hospitals. And since then it has always been in and out of hospitals, for check ups and operations. This disease caused me at the age of two to go through an operation which left me with a scar on my right leg. I live in a very hot country so i wear skirts a lot and dresses. but when i do you can see my scar. I have always been ashamed of it and felt like people are always looking at it and getting disgusted about it. It has sometimes come to the point where i just want to throw myself out of a window because i hate it so much. I really don't know how much longer i can deal with it. I really don't want to do..

Hey there,
Firstly, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply! May I ask what it is that you have? You're more than welcome to talk to me about it, but I'm sure I'll be able to help you much more if I know what it is and how it effects you! Are you speaking to anyone about the way you are feeling? Obviously, it's causing you to feel extremely low and struggle with day to day living, and also feeling comfortable about your body. Perhaps speaking to a counsellor could help you. We all have scars, I have lots of scars as I had meningococcal septicaemia many years back. Be proud of them, you've got through so much! Feel free to message me if you would like to talk. Marie. |
