Addicted to Procrastination

I believe I am addicted to putting off what I know I need to do.
This has been a growing issue in my life, that started probably in about Year 8 for me. I used to be a good student who wanted to study and do all his homework and such, until I stopped doing anything of that sort.
Now im in university studying psychology, and I cant bring myself to read any of the texts, for my core or arts electives.

This spreads out through my whole life where I will drag anything out as far as I can.
I like to think it is because I haven't found anything in life that interests me of yet. But I am unsure.

I dont know what drives me to do anything....I dont know what I enjoy, what is interesting.....

I doubt procrastination can be defined as addictive behavior. Everyone procrastinates everyday, when you don't have any interest in something or don't feel like doing something, then you put it off because you don't feel like just getting it over with alot of the time or you're not in the mood. I do that alot too.

sounds preetty bad, im doing my gcse's now. i used to really cre about grades, but now i cant summon the energy to care, as if im scared of failing if i try my best. maybe you need to chill and work. mix fun.

I have the same problem! I am in high school, but still. And FYI, I believe it is a real issue, but not many people take it seriously. Google procrastination disorder. Good luck, if you find anything that works, please tell me.

I had the same problem in high school.
I would ALWAYS wait until the last day before a big project would do, to start.
Then i would end up not doing it, because i was lazy

I agree that it's a real issue.

i procrastinate all the time as well even on really big things. I am taking college courses and i have been doing this most of my school years. But my thing I work best under pressure so waiting til the day before something is do or even the same day for my online classes I get it done quicker because I have to focus on it and can't allow myself to get distracted.
