Hmm...try to just stop yourself from doing it when you realize you're doing it. Just try and stop yourself. I had to do this with biting my nails. It took awhile to stop but I finally did. Whenever I would bite my nails I remembered in my mind I'm trying to stop, so I stopped myself immidiately whenever I started doing it, and eventually you are in a mindset where you just don't do it anymore.

Are you sure you don't just have lice or dandruff or something...? Just throwing that out there
 Plus, it could just be a habit. Other than that, pretty much what JJ said. Once you get in the mindset to stop you hopefully will soon enough.
