Won't let me have help.

I have trichotillomania, and I've had it since the sixth grade. (I've already made a post about this) And a couple weeks ago, I finally told my mom that I have it, and all she did was make wig jokes, and said some things that she probably weren't meant to be mean, but sounded like it. Is there anyway to convince her I need help? I keep asking for it, and I'm about ready to give up. My boyfriend is trying to help me by pulling my hand away from my hair, but he can only do that for so long. Any advice?

Hm.. if your mom makes jokes and doesnt help you when you ask for it, go to a counseler at your school, maybe they can help. or google ways that maybe can help you stop it? I cant think of any off the top of my head right now, but also therapy may help. Theres got to be a reason behind it. Maybe a past trauma or somthing. Maybe also try writing it out in a letter for your mom. MAybe shell see how seroius you are about it then.

Thats not cool of your mom, tell her you want her to take you to the doctors so maybe he can try and help you since she won't, maybe she will get the hint then.
