Addicted to hitting my self in my head -

Im addictive to hitting myself in the head over and over again till it hurts. when i get upset i go in my room and hit myself in the head with my hands till i get a headach. Help Plz

You have to stop that. You could be really hurting yourself. The internal bleeding could lead to memory loss or loss of other brain functions. Find other ways to vent when you're frustrated. I find punching a pillow works pretty good. Or running when it's raining. If you cry no one will even know.

Ive cried many of times. but when me and my parents get into it. i cant stop hitting myself in the head till it starts hurting. A pillow wont help bc its not helping me relize why im the way i am. i do it numerous times till it hurts. its a habbit. ill try to stop but i think im losing my self anyways. so i dont think it would matter. sorry. I just feel that way.

Thats like self harming. Ive down that aswell. When i worked in childcare a while back, there was this young girl (about 2) that would do that same thing, when she was frustrated or losing control or upset. Id say, probs follow the things to do instead of self harm. There are some on this website and you can probs google it or ask a councillor too. Hope that helps in some way! Good luck!

I think you should just hit yourself with a pillow instead, I cant think of anything else.
