This IS odd but you can help yourself! Try taking a walk ...WITHOUT taking the lipbalm , then try going out with friend without it and so on and so forth. Then trow it away so you can't get to it. It will stop !

This is in no way odd, no addiction is.
I believe there are actual lip balms made especially towards this problem. They help because they have a really nasty taste to them.
So If I were you, I'd throw away all your lip balms and buy the bad tasting one, and soon you'll be no longer be using lip balm.
Hope I helped.

I used to have the site, but I can't find it. :X I'm sorry!
But while looking for It I found some research.
Look at this site, lip balm addiction is actually very common:
http://www.ehow.com/how_5134386_stop...pped-lips.html

I'm sure If you looked longer than I did (I looked for about 7-10 minutes) you'll find a site.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

I'm sorry, but I'm confused by your sentences. Care to re-explain?

I have this problem too. I usually lose mine, and everytime I do I freak out lol.

If I smiled and said I'm fine, would you look in to my eyes, and say "Tell the truth"?

Re: lip balm - November 18th 2010, 04:13 PM

I was like that for awhile with my carmex. I had to have it on me all the time, and there were a few nights just before bed that I couldn't find it and i started freaking out so bad. xD

I just ended up losing mine.... And after awhile I stopped needing it. Something about not having one and having no money made me push through. xD

Good luck!

Yes, it is a problem for me too. I can't go anywhere without a ChapStick of sorts and if I lose it I freak out.
I was impulsed to put some on while reading this. xD

Just to prove it's not uncommon, like 5 people, now me, have also stated the same haha.

While reading this, I couldn't resist putting some of mine on. I do it aprox every hour as well, ya, it's bad ahah. I can't stop, I freak out when I don't have it as well

So glad I'm not alone =D
