Happy Gas.... -
July 25th 2011, 05:01 PM
Hi, I have been to the dentist today for a Gas and Air (happy gas) session to help do fillings...I've had it done before and I love it.
I have actually begged them for more because I like it that much... my grandad said this is how addictions/drugs start... I really do feel like I need it though because after it wore off I got shaky and nearly passed out..... Dont know if it is just a wierd thing going on inside my head or if Im "addicted" to it Help if you can...if not then still feel free to comment. |

Hhmm that's interesting. I'm not sure if I can help. Personally I don't think you're addicted to it. It seems like it gave you a feeling of inner peace? There are many things you could do to give yourself peace of mind. Perhaps you could read or meditate or something? Hope this helps somewhat.

well, I don't think you are at the point where you NEED it and can't function without it..but it's kind of like your outlet, it seems. It's your way of forgetting about everything, perhaps? It COULD turn into a problem so I'd just avoid it as much as possible.

The gas that they give you is designed to be a 'pain relief' as such and is to make you feel drousy so you cannot feel what they are doing to your teeth. I guess the sensation that you feel from the gas can make you feel 'happy', as you've said; happy gas, I believe it can be addictive too if you take it in large doses, because the wonderful sensation it gives you makes you feel great.
I wouldn't recommend it though, and I think they can only give you it in health care. I doubt it'll be easy to get hold of. ![]() Just keep following the heartlines on your hand. |

I sincerely doubt that you would be able to obtain enough laughing gas (the real stuff) to develop a habit.

I doubt you're already addicted to it, since you've only had it in doses from your doctor. However, I would not recommend you make a habit out of any pain killer, they can be very addictive, and it's not a fun lifestyle to go into.
PM me if you ever need!

well shaking and jitteriness is a common side effect of medical numbing agents or gases......
If we ass humans spend more time trying to forgive than being angry the world would have no wars or conflict and there would be peace.....being angry does not change the problem...........
