Japan :D - January 31st 2012, 04:34 AM

I would love to go to Japan, one day. I was wondering if there was anyone that has had any traveling experiences that could help me begin to save for it?

Well you can start a savings account. Every time you receive a large sum of money (either from holidays or birthdays or even work), put the majority of it in the account, only keeping what you may NEED for a while. This should help get you started at least.

I'm in the same boat as you are, only I'm saving to go to Scotland.

Here are the things you need to do to start saving:
-Get a job.
-Get a savings account.
-Put a certain portion of money into your savings account each paycheck.
-Don't spend what you put in the account unless you're having an emergency and need it.

To have cheaper travels:
-Watch for flight prices and their changes.
-Try to buy your ticket as far in advance as possible.
-BUDGET!! (Plan for food, shelter, spending, emergencies, etc)
-Look for good travel packages.

General 'need-to-know' info:
-Research the place where you're planning to go. Learn the culture. Try to learn as much as you can.
-Map out you're entire trip. What you're going to do, where you're going to go, who you're going to go with.
-Have somewhat of an itinerary. This way you'll have some sort of idea what to do when you get there.

The biggest thing that you need to know is: BE PREPARED. I don't know when you're planning to go, but it's never too early to plan and gain knowledge. I plan to go on my trip in a year and a half, and I'm starting research and saving now. Trust me, this trip won't happen if you wait until the last minute. If this is something you really want to do, then awesome! I'm really happy for you. I feel as though everyone should travel at least once in their life. Good luck with everything! If you have questions, let me know. I'm more than happy to help out. :]

I was looking for a breath of life
For a little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh

I don't really. I've been on a plane to Florida. But I think it is cool that you want to go to Japan, so do I.

I got off track I've made mistakes Back slid my way to that place where souls get lost lines get crossed and the pain won't go away.

Eh, I'm a procrastinator. I'm going to go ahead and start planning now.

Btw, I see you like the piano. Do you play at all?
