Question Is this assault - February 20th 2018, 10:37 PM

This thread has been labeled as non-PG13 by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for younger users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

So we were at schools getting ready for the big winter concert and I bent down to tie my shoes when the kid standing next to me stuck his hands down my pants and messed with my butt. I swatted his hands away and called him a pervert and told the teacher. He got sent to the office and that was the last time he did it..., but not the first.he used to touch all over and I got creeped out and just avoided him. so any advice??

I am glad you told the teacher because being touched isn't okay.

Assualt is any unwanted physical touch by someone (could mean physical harm like hitting someone or touching someone without consent). In this case it is assualt as they touched you in a very inappropriate place.

Have you talked to the school about it and to see what happened? It's important to communicate with the school so you are aware of what will be happening and what measures they will take so this doesn't happen again.

Have you told your parents or guardians about what happened and who touched you?

It is good that you told the teacher because it's not okay for someone to be doing this behaviour to someone.

How are you doing after it happened?

Hey there,

Sexual assault is defined as being any type of sexual contact/behavior that is done without consent. So this could include things like fondling which seems to be what happened with you. I am glad that you ended up telling the teacher. I am sure that was not an easy thing to do.

I think that it might be worth it for you to consider talking to a counselor (either a school counselor or one off your campus) about these experiences. It is likely that a counselor would be able to help you work on processing the things you experienced and help you work on figuring out the best way to cope.

It might also be good to discuss what occurred with your parents (if they are not aware) as your parents might be able to offer you support.

I am wishing you the best and if you need anything please feel free to message me.
