Fear - December 8th 2009, 01:54 AM

I know I have posted about this before but I still am having issues. So back in the 8th grade I was sexually assulted by one of my best guy friend. I'm now a junior in highschool and he is in my school. I'm not in any of his classes but it is a smaller school. When ever I see him I think he's out to get be I know this is probablly not true. But I live my life in fear. Fear of men/boys. When ever I'm around one or worse him I can't function. I'm scared they will hurt me. Has anyone ever faced the same thing that is happening to me? I see a therapist and hopefully I will be working on this pretty soon. I just have lost it... I have to face this at school. And home is really not all that better. Thanks so much guys. You always have awesome advise and I really to appreciate it.

You are not alone hun i've been through the same i've been assualted 4 times and twice by a guy at college the other 2 were different men, but i couldn't be happy because of what this guy done to me everytime i saw him i'd freak out and have a nasty pain inside of me, i saw a counsellor and it did help but i couldnt be happy with any guy, i'm still struggling now with the boyfriend i have.

But i just hold my head up high and everytime i see that guy in town i just walk past with a smile on my face and show him that my life is great, counselling will eventually help, but if you need to talk just PM me

stay strong xxx

You both need to remeber that it wasn't your fault, both stay strong, and hold your head up high, don't let them see that it's getting to you, i know eaiser said than done, been there got the tee shirt... Shopaholic, you need to explain to some kinda teacher at school about what has happend, and the way you feel, they should be able to offer you some kind of support, and guidence.

I've tried, I really don't want to talk to anyone any more. They have bigger things to worry about... At least thats what I think. Thank you though...

They shouldnt have bigger things to worry about,. you as a student at their school should be there first priorty.. do it in your own time, don't let any one push you into it or anything, you'll onlly feel worse, where as if you do it in your own time you'll feel better and in control..

Hey there,

I can completely relate to what you are going through. While facing your attacker on a day-to-day basis can be so horrible and frightening, it's important to try to stay calm. He can't control you anymore; just take normal safety precautions.

Does anyone at your school know about what happened to you? I think that informing a teacher, guidance counselor, or administrator may help you feel more safe at school. These people can help to protect you. If you haven't spoken to anyone there about this, please consider it.

Take care, and if you need anything, I'm here. <3

in a long time,
I can say that I wanna try.
I feel helpless for the most part,
but I'm learning to open my eyes.
And the sad truth of the matter is,
I'll never get over it,
but I'm gonna try
to get better and overcome each moment
in my own way"
