Exclamation Not sure help please - January 2nd 2010, 03:15 PM

So i have this friend who has a problem.
her cousin has been raping her since she was 7...shes now 18
he lives in another state but she still sees him quite often
she just saw him over holidays and he did it to her again
except this time it got worse, he tied her up and kept telling her that
he was going to take it anyway he wanted and if she said anything or yelled
he would beat her (which he has done in the past)
she is scared everytime he comes over...or every time she sees him because
he always gets his way..sometimes she gives in because she is so scared and doesnt always say no so she doesnt think that it is rape, because she doesnt say no everytime, but she emphises she doesnt say no because she is scared for her life
he has hit her over the back with a chiar
he has hurt her so much and im just scared because i dont want him to touch again...she cant take it anymore
shes loosing her mind slowly
always wanting to cut
and always wanting to die because of him

I just dont know what to do anymore im losing hope that this will never change...

im really sorry for what is happening to your friend.
I would keep telling her its not right for him to keep doing that to her. and its not her fault. and either convince her to report him, or you report him for her. he needs to be stopped right now.

call the police. This sort of abuse thrives on silence, the guys gonna think he can get away with it if no-ones told.

And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.

hun, dont let this go on. she is getting really hurt and its not fair for her not to live an everyday life. You need to step up and be the savior. Pray to God every night, tell the police immediately. it's only going to get worse. Sooner or later he will end up killing her and then it will be in the back of you head for the rest of your life. will feel gulity for mot telling. Hun, either way you need to help her and get the police! NOW.

You must get her to speak up being silent isn’t going to help, I know this may be a really touchy topic for her but it’s got to end sometime. Unfortunately things like this do happen and when they do they’ve got to be dealt with right away.

I understand her situation but she’s got to tell her parents or the police for that matter.

I’m so sorry this is happening to her but the best thing you could do is be there with her and support her when she does tell her parents, because she’ll need someone to lean on.

Yeah, I think that the police really should be called in this case.
It is rape. It is abuse. And your friend does not deserve to suffer anymore.
The key here is to tell someone. Like the others said, staying silent is just going to make this worse.
Tell her parents. Tell her that it is important for her to speak up if she wants this to stop. Her cousin lives off this fear that she has. She should get over the fear and tell a trusted adult.

Hope things work out for the best!

In a world that she can't rise above.
But her dreams give her wings and she flies to a place where she's loved.

As wild and as reckless as thunder over the land.
Racing with the eagle, soaring with the wind.
Flying? There were times I believed I could."
