Hey Jenna-Louise,

I'm sorry you have had to go through this and I hope you know it is not your fault.

Is the abuse still happening? If so, you should really talk to someone about it. You don't deserve to go through this. Even if the abuse has stopped, it would still be a good idea to tell someone and get support.

Maybe you could talk to your mom about it? Or if you don't feel comfortable doing that you can tell a school counselor, a teacher, the police, or any adult you trust. You really should not have to go through this alone. While my situation was different, I know how hard it is to deal with all the memories and feelings that follow abuse and no one should have to go through that alone. If you aren't sure you can say it out loud, you can always write a letter, too. I know for me that was much easier.

I think it would also be a really good idea to talk with a therapist/counselor. Coping with abuse is hard, but there is a lot of help out there. Please reach out and talk to someone.

I hope you're doing okay and if you ever need someone to listen, please feel free to PM me.
<3 Emily
