CPS came and didn't do anything. - June 8th 2011, 11:19 PM

So to everyone who read my previous post about me and my family having suspicions about my niece being sexually abused, well I guess we were wrong.

CPS went yesterday and talked to them, but said there was nothing going on.
I knew that would happen. I knew that my niece wouldn't tell CPS if something was going on (why would she tell a complete stranger?).
I still believe there is something inappropriate going on, but there's nothing I can do about it anymore.

Now my whole family is screwed up. Everyone is against each other. It's horrible. Now I'm beginning to think that my brother calling CPS was a huge mistake, but else were we going to do?
All I know is that I will never turn against my brother. He only reason he called CPS was to protect our niece, but instead it got turned around on us and we're the bad guys.

Anyway, the turn out was not good. Now I don't think my family can ever be repaired.

Hey,
Im sorry you weren't able to sort it out. If you still think something is going on, you shouldn't give up. Although the complications in your family sound really difficult, your niece knows that you are concerned about her and are prepared to help. That's really good that you are sticking by your brother, because he did the right thing, regardless of the consequences.
