BBC4 - The Trouble with Moody Teens - May 12th 2012, 09:52 AM

My mum listened to this radio programme on BBC 4 yesterday called, The Trouble with Moody Teens. I was in the car this morning with my mum and she was talking to me about it and how she said it made her sad to think that I suffer from depression and anxiety. It was about teenage depression also talks about self harm, suicide, family problems etc. I'm listening to it now on BBC Iplayer and it really is interesting.

Just to let people know if anyone wants to watch it.

Sounds really interesting and raises awareness of an important thing. I might have a look for it and listen on iPlayer.

I may watch it. Is it triggering, do you know?

I wouldn't say it's triggering to be honest because I didn't find it triggering, but I suppose it differs for different people. Not much is mentioned about self harm at all - some young people just spoke about how they turned to SH because they were feeling so low.

It doesn't go into much about SH. It mainly talks about how people are treated and how young people are scared to talk about depression because of stigma and they don't want to worry the family etc.
