not going - June 14th 2012, 10:53 PM

How would you tell a counselor you don't want to see them in a nice manner?? I have chosen who I want to see but I don't know how to say I would not like to continue with you.. I have a feeling she will ask why and she would not like my answer of you are way to judgemental for this job and you obvioulsy don't listen to me.

feel free to PM me...

I would say the truth so shes aware of what she does. Tell her Im sorry I dont want to see you any more because you dont listen to me and you have blamed stuff on me that was not my fault Im sorry but Im going to see some one else. Say it like that she will understand .

Before you leave though see if you can work these promblems out with your therapist but if the therapist is too stubborn and doesnt change then leave and go to the other therapist.

It would probably be politest to say that you've found a new counselor who you feel you will be able to work better with - your current one should understand, not every style works for everybody, that's why it's important to find someone new if it isn't working out with your current person.

Different strokes for different folks.

Just be polite, stick the the necessary facts, and don't verbally attack her, you'll be fine.

Ok thanks I talked to my new one she said I can call her I know her pretty well so I might just let her do it... I am just not the person to say things and not feel horrible or say it rude and feel good.
