Online Tests - October 27th 2012, 07:14 PM

There are a lot of personality tests online, that give you probabilities of having certain mental disorders. I've taken a few of these now, and each one tells me I have a very high chance of some sort of borderline/depressive disorder. I was just wondering, how accurate do you think these tests are? Should I be worried? :S

Online tests are very very inaccurate and have almost no basis in reality.
They mean nothing and you shouldn't take them seriously.

Online tests are NOT a self-diagnosis. Just a way to find out what could be wrong.
Only your doctor can diagnose you. But if you think there's something wrong with you, you should talk to your doctor. Of course you can say what you think, and you can get some help.

Take care.

They're inaccurate, and not to be trusted.

If you feel that you might be depressed, then see your doctor. Don't rely on tests made up by someone online.

I agree with what everyone else has said. Don't trust an online test but do speak to your doctor if you are concerned you have a mental health problem and need some support. And you're always welcome to talk to us too!

I'm going to close this now since this has been resolved. Feel free to message me to have it re-opened or feel free to create a new thread.
