Nightmares....whaaaa? - November 8th 2012, 01:18 AM

Okay, so, I'm having these weird nightmares whenever I close my eyes to go to sleep at night... where in each one.... I dance with a guy, then he violently r*pes me (sorry, I have to put the star or my computer will block me from this page), then kills me....
so now like... like I can't sleep...
and these never happened (this is where I think I have a problem) until my friend Matthew stopped texting me at night due to drama.
....I guess I don't exactly have a question here, as much as a short rant...
cuz at night its like, I feel the need to text him, even when I'm so tired already, but then if the chance that I do fall asleep comes.... did I mention he is the one in the nightmares about 90% of the time?

uh...so then its like... I'm scared to text him... and scared to sleep...
ugh LIFE!

I'm sorry honey, this sounds terrifying! I had some pretty bad nightmares for a long while. They were so real feeling. So clear and realistic. It scared the crap out of me.

But believe me, the more you think of it, the more they'll come back. Your dreams are what your sub-conscience thinks about. So remember that. Watch a funny movie or tv show before you go to bed and see if that helps.

and we'll turn to ashes.

Kinda like the way you tell me,
"Baby, please come home. I need you here right now.
I'm crying underwater so you don't hear the sound."

I hope it helps. Also, try writing down in a journal or on your blog here whatever it is that's been troubling you every day if anything. That will help to get rid of the negative thoughts in your sub-conscience.

I've been studying dreams for about three years because I used to have nightmares. The first thing you need to do it before you sleep just repeat to yourself something like "I will realize I am dreaming" or "I am in control of my dreams" until you fall asleep.
Once in the dream you might realize you are dreaming (Might is because it isn't 100% and it takes a bit to learn and get used to) you can try to alter the scene or just wake yourself up. I started with just yelling at the dream "Wake Up" and I would. Now, I just alter them.

There is a negativity that lingers in your subconscious. Do not feed it. Try to purify your thoughts and do not think negative thoughts. It is a psychological trap, and do not feed into it because it will not help you get better. You must take a U-turn and think what positive improvement you can make in your life. Feed your positive subconscious, then you will be happier. Get the strong 'you' out, and leave the weak and scared 'you'. Admit your fears to yourself and then move on and get strong by practicing a better lifestyle, maybe? Make a positive change in your life, something you've always wanted to do about your life, it will help you lots.
