i'm so confused - November 26th 2012, 10:02 PM

I didn't know where to put this so i started here... I've been sexually harassed for 3 (going on 4) years now by the same guy... i have to sit next to him in English because of how our last names fall...since i haven't told and adult i cant just ask to be moved...i decided when scheduling comes i would talk to my counsler about making sure we don't have any common classes... but the other day he called me some pretty vulgar stuff and that night i had a dream that i lost it and beat him up in the middle of class... I'm pretty sure that's not normal and it's never happened before...why now...and why? What should i do? I'm so confusedd :/

I think the way you're reacting is pretty normal (well as normal as being sexually harassed gets). I think you should tell an adult about this, as it's really not right that you have to put up with what he's doing to you. It's not healthy for you to have to deal with him and it's your right to not have to put up with it.
Plus, he really shouldn't be getting away with it, later on in life if he never gets punished for his actions he might go on to do worse things to other people. You owe it to yourself and in a way him to bring this up to an authority figure so he can be dealt with. You shouldn't have to avoid someone, it's not your fault so why should you have to deal with the consequences?
