Arrow silenced - November 29th 2012, 07:46 PM

at school, ive started to talk less. in tech i won't talk . i can't even say thanks you. I only really point now. i was afraid this would happen when i started highschool, but now that it's happened again, i can't take it. people call me weird and they see me with my friends, laughing and talking and they look at me like i'm a fake. Like i don't talk for the attention. there used to be one or two people who would try to get me to talk, but they gave up, so now i don't talk at all. I'm glad they did, because i was probobly being a bother to them, though.
Anyways, I'm scared that in my other classes, I'll stop speaking ,too. what do i do?

What is it about talking in class that is difficult? For example, what thoughts go through your head when you imagine yourself talking in class? What do you think would happen if you talked in class? Identifying those thoughts (and challenging them) can help you begin to slowly work toward breaking the pattern of just pointing (and not talking) in class.
