I don't know what's wrong with me - February 19th 2015, 01:57 AM

I'm confused. I don't know what anything really means.
My heart feels like it's racing constantly. All the time it feels like it's beating faster than normal. I feel paranoid. Super, super paranoid all the time like someone is standing behind me. Unless my back is up against a wall I feel like someone is behind me. I feel like people are talking about me behind my back. I know it's absurd and wrong and stupid.. But that doesn't stop it. I don't feel right. I feel off. Like I know something is wrong or missing but Idk what. Like my life is a spot-the-difference and I can't put my finger on what's wrong. It's usually hard to breathe.. Idk I don't know anything anymore. I don't usually care either. I'll get bursts of extreme rage for the smallest, stupidest reasons and I'll want to seriously harm someone or something. I don't know what's happening. I just want it all to stop. I want to go home..

I would definitely consider going to a therapist. It sounds like you've got some anxiety things happening.

Hey Lexie,

I moved this to the mental health section because I felt it fitted here more.

None of us here are professionals, so we can't diagnose, but it does sound like you may have some anxiety related issues (racing heart, difficulty breathing etc). I think you might find it helpful to do some deep breathing techniques to try to calm down, so you wont be panicky all the time. You could take a deep breath in for 3 seconds, and out for 3 seconds, and do this for a minute or until you have calmed down.


I also agree with Katie about seeking a therapist for these things as they seem to be bothering you quite a bit, and it would be a good idea to mention the paranoia and rage as well. Do you have other ways of expressing your emotions? For rage in particular it might help to shout, punch a pillow, tear some paper, use a stress ball or go for a run. Anything to help get out negative emotion in a safe way might help you.
