one time occurence double personality disorder?? - March 27th 2015, 05:18 PM

This is a one time occurenve but M still kinda.. worried? Anyway.. Yesterday night I told my mom to wake me up at 8:30 AM cuz I wanted to go for a walk (not really, but that doesnt matter to the story) I slept at 4 AM (i have sleep issues..) and my mom woke me up at 8:30. She supposedly reminded me I had to go for a walk (i told my mom it was a walk) and I supposedly answered, "I'll go in the evening." Then she supposedly asked me when I wanted to wake up N i supposedly said, "10 o'clock". I supposedly went back to sleep N dad woke me up at 10. I was angry cuz i thought my mom didnt wake me up. I do NOT remember any of the conversation. I dont even remember seeing her face in the morning. My dad told me this happened. I still dont recall anything. Mom says I was wide awake, eyes completely open N i was completely responsive.

This somehow doesn't add up. I KNOW for a fact that I would have snapped at her for waking me up so early (cuz i knew i would be very sleepy.. N i always do that but mom says I did not do that. ) N also that I would never have postponed the 'walk' (I was looking forward to it..) N also that I would never have said 10 o'clock (I always say 11 or 12 or watever ). When my dad reminded me about this incident I was confused. Is this double personality disorder or something? Though its only a one time occurence..

Anyway.. Thanks for ur time.

I have had similar instances like that on days when I'm really tired, where I just sleep talk to my mom/dad when one of them wake me. They can wake me for school or something and I'll answer and talk to them but still really be asleep. My friend does it to me all the time to.

Perhaps you were just overly tired? I am not a doctor though.

I am not a doctor so I can't say for certain. However, I have had this happen when I have been overly tired. I have had conversations with people and then not remembered them because I have been so tired.

There have been other reasons that I have had this happen but you said this was a one time occurrence and to me this doesn't fall under the other reasons that I have had this happen to me.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think if it is something that happens repeatedly you should start to worry about it and should consult a doctor about it. Until then I would just keep an eye out to see if it happens again.

I hope that this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck.
