Hi there,

Are you asking how many types exist or how many people have been diagnosed with? There are hundreds if not more mental illnesses out there and definitions change so much over time! There are loads more now than there were when mental illness manuals such as the DSM first came out, however the types of illnesses and classifications have changed so much that many which were defined as a mental illness are not now. So it's not quite a straight forward answer if that's what you were going for, however you can find information on mental illness types on sites such as the NHS website and/or medicals sites which are local to where you live!
