Hey - December 19th 2018, 02:25 PM

So I'll spare you the details for brevities sakw, but I'm a writer and a composer and I've recently made a massive mental health breakthrough and I'm concerned it will affect my writing

Was all you writing about suffering and pain? I think if you had a breakthrough in your mental health that would clear you thoughts more and help with your writing.

In what way do you think your mental health may affect your writing?

I know that when I'm feeling depressed, I struggle to read, write, be creative or concentrate. It's understandable that if you feel your mental health declining, you may worry about the impact it will have on your writing. But when your mental health improves again, you may find that your motivation and creativity will come back again.

If, as a previous response suggested, you were writing about pain and suffering and you have noticed your mental heath improve, then it's understandable that what you write about may change. And that's okay. You are still a good writer!

Hope you are okay and looking after yourself
