I keep seeing things - January 30th 2019, 09:04 PM

No I'm not on drugs. I see things for a just a fraction of a second. Initially I thought it was just a one time thing. But it's happened a few times now. Its usually just a rainbow or a dog or something. Just for a second hardly.

I get these too, like flashes of an image in my line of vision. It could be something very simple, like floaters... floaters look like bacteria magnified hundreds of time. It could be something more serious. But definitely be on the look out (no pun intended) to see if these increase in frequency or any other symptoms accompany it such as eye aches.

If that happens, then I suggest seeing your primary care doctor or an ophthalmologist.

Here is a link that details floaters.

I think it's common for people to 'see things' for a split second without necessarily anything being wrong. This is especially true if you are tired, stressed and anxious.

As said above, it could be something physical relating to your eye, such as floaters.

How are you in yourself? If you are generally okay then I wouldn't worry too much about it. You might want to keep track of it but try not to focus on it (I find the more I focus on something, the more likely I am to notice the otherwise unnoticed). If you are concerned about it relating to physical or mental health then it's best to talk to your doctor for appropriate treatment.
