OCD? - June 14th 2010, 03:47 PM

So I was diagnostised with OCD some years back because I was obsessed with AIDs and I'd be all the time washing my hands and avoiding guys ad drugs and so on but I'd have "bad" dreams where I'd get those and I couldn't control it, I was 13 by then. I thought I controlled my OCD but now I think it's back, although in a different way, now I'm not obsessed about AIDs anymore but with a guy, I've liked him A LOT and now he doesn't talk to me any longer to me but I'd pretend he's here and I'd talk to him as he's next to me, I'd write to him even though he'll never answer my mails, I'd dream about him, I'd think bout him all the time even if I try not to do so and I can't get concentrated in anything else. I can't go to sleep unless I've looked at his picture at least 10 times for this day.

1-Another obsession-compulsion is (due to my addiction to sport): I have to be constantly moving my legs, if I don't do so, I'm freaked that I'd lose the shape and I actually get everyone around me nervous
2- (due to my ED): I have to eat in a desert dish and it has to be THIS dish, and it has to take me exactly 50 minutes, EXACTLY 50 minutes but there has to be something in the dish left, doesn't matter what it is, I have to leave something in the dish!
3- If I hear a sentence that makes sense to me I'm repeating it over and over and over and over again in my head, out loud, writting it, whatever! but I repeat it until I feel like crying because I can't get rid of it

I wonder if those are signals of OCD coming back

It could be signals of your OCD coming back, I can see some signals, (my dad has OCD) but as I am not a doctor I cant really say for sure.

They only way to find out if your OCD is coming back is by seeing a therapist who is classified to diagnose you.

It is possible that it is coming back. Especially with the last few I think. But I could be wrong lol Perhaps you should go and see a therapist or doctor like i_am_me_again said, so they could diagnose you if it has come back

Good luck, take care.

Hey Love,

As the others above me have already stated, we aren't doctors thus we cannot diagnose you. However is seems as though it is, and particularly the last couple you mentioned.

The best thing to do in your situation if this is really becoming a problem again is to see your doctor or a therapist that will be able to full diagnose and you and provide you with some more concrete answers.

Which ever way you decide to handle this, I'm sure will be the best decision for you mate. I hope that this helped a bit and I hope that you're having a wonderful day. Take care and PM me anytime if need be.
