Cyclothymia??? - June 25th 2010, 10:35 PM

Ok, so I talked to my doctor, finally. I explained all the problems I'd been having with my moods and he suggested cyclothymia. Being the not so brilliant doctor that he is, he referred me on to a psychiatrist without much of an explanation. I know the basics of it, but does anyone else suffer this/ have any info on it?

Well, I only know the basics as well, that its like, Bipolar, but the mood swings are less extreme. And it's a bit easier to cope with, or so I've read on the Wikipedia Article.

Sorry I can't help any more than that.

Ah cheers anyway I get what it is, its just I don't know if it fits in with what I have...if you get what I mean? My GP is kinda rubbish tbh so hopefully a psychiatrist will be a bit more helpful

Definitely, that is, after all, what a psychiatrist is meant for.
