SAD? - July 13th 2010, 10:29 PM

Okay, so this is the third summer in a row where I honestly just feel like doing nothing most of the time. Also, I get upset easily and have occasional panic attacks. Last summer I was diagnosed with dysthymia and an anxiety disorder. But the thing is, for the past two years, I've had these symptoms in July, August and September - then they go away, and don't seem to come back until July. This seems to be a pattern, could these be symptoms of Seasonal Affect Disorder?

SAD is usually in the winter time due to lack of sunlight, but if you're symptoms are that specific, it could be some thing to check out. Talk to your psychiatrist about it maybe?

It is possible to have SAD corresponding with summer months although much rarer. do get it checked out.
