Question OCD - October 4th 2010, 11:15 PM

Maybe I'm just overreacting..
But I think I have a mild case of OCD.
I'm diagnosed with trichotillomania, and there's been discussions to whether this is part of OCD or not.
But, I have other signs of OCD also. I count in my head, through most everyday activities. I have small "rituals" that make no sense. I was watching "True Life" on MTV, and most of the people couldn't go through their daily lives without preforming hardcore rituals. I can go without mine, but it stresses me out.
So is anyone educated in this, and can give me some advice? Thank you!

But those sequins on her dress.. boy, they threw you over the edge.

Well, I'm not too educated on OCD, and I can't diagnose you. However, this does sound like it may be a mild case of OCD. Have you talked to a professional about this? They could definitely help you figure things out for you. If you have a psychiatrist, or even a counselor they may be able to give you a little better idea of what, if anything, this may be. Not all people with OCD have to preform their rituals everyday, it may just stress them out very badly, like you. But as I said I'm not a professional, but a professional could surely help

And she fights so you won't ignore her,
'cause thats her biggest fear.

Keep your head up gorgeous,
they'll kill to see you

I also have trich and i also have the symptons you have so i could be completely wrong but maybe they just go hand in hand with each over?

If I say I'm fine...I'm not
If I say just leave me alone...just do it or you'll regret it
