Nightmare - October 16th 2010, 10:05 AM

I'm scared. I'm REALLY scared. I was watching scenes from 'The Grudge' and a bunch of other horror films until midnight. Usually the scary movies I watch aren't that bad, so I decided to kick it up a notch and try something even scarier. Well... Turns out; now every time I close my eyes I see the faces and parts of those scenes. At every noise I sit upright in my bed and look around, and even when there is no noise my eyes still dart around the room 24/7. When I DID get to sleep, I woke up screaming, fortunately, I'm used to waking up screaming, regardless though, I can't get back to sleep now. Usually I slip easily back into unconciousness, but tonight I can't. Everywhere I look I see the faces of those people, I flashback to the movie and remember the scary parts.
I already have a hard time going to sleep on a normal basis, so this is hard.
I already know that I'll be having nightmares about that movie for a long time. And, for what it's worth, I can't lose anymore sleep. You know something? I'm even scared to use the bathroom! And when I FORCED myself to stop being a nervous wreck and go, I found myself scared to get out. I did, obviously get out at one point, but that still doesn't change the fact that I can't stop myself from reacting the way I do.
Until this point, I've NEVER considered sleeping pills. But with my nightmares and already CURRENT loss of sleep, I think it's time to take action. You might not know exactly how I feel at the moment, but I can tell you, I'm not feeling good. I've always have been afraid of the dark - I'm even the first person to admit it! But this time it's different. I have to keep looking up and check the room for anything looking at me. If you've seen 'The Grudge' or any of the other movies I saw, you'd know what I mean. Sometimes, out of the corner of my eye, I see something, but thats normal. Right? Anyway, what do I do about this? Please help.

I will forgive, but I'll never forget.

You have to remember that horror movies are not real! They are scripted and staged, even thought they are really scary too. It is all just on the t.v screen like the other horror movies you have seen.

However since it is affecting you so much maybe you should talk about it to someone. A friend or family or maybe even a school counselor It will really help!
