logical mind - October 29th 2010, 12:16 AM

A few years ago I was diagnosed with "Psychotic NOS" for illogical thinking. I've been doing really well, but with my recent struggles it's come back.

Like, with friends, I end up overthinking every action or word, and somehow think that they actually hate me and are just pretending to like me. It's making it really hard to interact with people.

I was just wondering if anyone had advice on how to get in touch with my logical mind? Or help me get through these pervasive and consistent thoughts?

I haven't been diagnosed with anything, but I have what sounds like exactly the same thing. I overthink EVERYTHING, so when I come up against something I don't understand, I try to analyse it and can't, which makes me terrified... Can't interact with people at all lately except a very small number of amazing people. And they help. They really do. If you've got even one good trusted friend, talk to them about this. Even knowing that somebody's there for you, even if you don't talk to them much, is so helpful, seriously. Good luck, hope you sort it out for yourself soon.

It's no surprise that you'll soon forget about me
