Why do you think you do that? I actually think that's a pretty common thing to do, because when you feel depressed or suicidal, you feel as though you are "worthless". It's a really good thing that you know that other people have worth, and know that there are people that know you are worth something as well

Hey Harley,

As Janelle mentioned, this is definitely fairly common. In fact, I actually think it's why TeenHelp and other similar organizations work out so well. What you'll notice, both in yourself and likely in the rest of us, is that first of all, we ALL have a personal battle of some sort that we're fighting, or that we've fought - it's why we're here! Secondly, while we can probably all give completely off the charts advice to other people going through the same thing, its incredibly difficult for us to 1) follow our own advice and 2) advise ourselves in the first place! (Hopefully that makes sense...) So what happens at TH and other places like TH is that we get to hear things we often already are aware of in a DIFFERENT way from a different person...from someone who cares. And that's really, really important.

I was thinking that, because this thread seems largely in part related to depression and suicidal feelings, I'd move your thread on over to our Depression and Suicide forum so that you might be able to get more replies geared towards what you're looking for. However, I noticed that you already had a few threads in D&S, so I'm going to leave this here for now and we can focus on the hypocritical feelings (which I'm so glad you realize are not so uncommon); if you'd like to discuss the location of this thread further, feel free to PM me.

Take good care of yourself!

Hypocrisy is only a means, expressed as honesty, integrity and moral level, you are willing to put others to, do not have the same values as critical to their own ... in fact no place close to you ... you pretend you do, in fact, Do you have condemned others. A few years ago, you may recall, there was a young man who by the New York Times, Jayson Blair's name.

This is common, we're all hypocrites. It's like how the world goes around.

You give to charity selflessly, and when you get hungry, you will steal your food back from charity.
Ooh, that was a bad example. But, it was the first thing I thought up.

I hope you're having a spectacular day!
