Help for an English project! - April 24th 2011, 12:34 PM

I'm doing a senior project for my English class on mental illness. I desperately need sources - books, websites, etc. - for tomorrow. Ten of them. I already have one in mind. I can have only four internet sources. I don't really have a focus yet, though I may try to stick to depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder. Any books that touch on all of these subjects would be especially appreciated, as well as historical stuff about mental illness and (auto)biographies about famous people who suffered from mental disorder.

Amazon links would be best so I can put them straight into Easybib.

I'd put this in Education, but I feel like I'd have better luck here. If someone moves it, fine by me.

For an auto biography, I'd say Girl Interrupted MIGHT be an okay one. I haven't read it in a while so I don't remember. But it was also the 60s so it might not be too useful.

When I get back to school I might be able to send you some sources off my desktop, I just did 5 mini papers on psych stuff. I doubt the public library would have much, but if you have a local community college you can try and see if they'd let you use their library. Or just do what I do and do it in a bookstore without buying anything

I only know bipolar autobiographies. An Unquiet Mind and Madness are two very good ones that I reread often. I also know of The Lily Pond and Click Clack which I'm not too fond of.
If you live near a chapters and go to the medical section there's usually a section just for bipolar, schizophrenia, and a handful of other mental illnesses and it usually has some pretty good reads.
