Feeling Crazy - July 26th 2011, 03:39 PM

I'm meeting a counselor in a week, and he asked me to keep in touch with him through email until our appointment. This is what I sent him:

Tom,

You asked me to keep in touch until the appointment, so I am. The depression has gotten much worse. Today, for example: I woke up and just do not feel the same way about people or things the same way I felt about them yesterday. I'm also not feeling like myself. I feel less in control and more like I'm watching a movie play out. I'm also nervous about meeting a counselor, as I have not had one for years.

Kelly

If that makes you crazy then I'm a lunatic! Just saying, you're not alone and you're getting help. Its the people who refuse to get help that are crazy.

Thanks Hahaha. That made me feel better.

He also replied saying this feeling is normal for some who have depression.

I just haven't felt that way before, and it was very strange way to feel. Nobody I described it to understood o.o

I've seen crazy, and that is very far from crazy.

It is good that you noticed a change in your mood and also that you told them about it.

Also, I do not think you are crazy.

I dont think you are crazy. There is nothing wrong with being who you are. To me, "crazy" is just a label. If you need anything, I'm here to help. In fact, in your situation, it can be normal to be feeling the way you are feeling. Everybody is different!

You don't sound crazy. You sound honest. Good luck seeing a counselor!

Thanks everyone It's just a feeling I'm not used to.

As if my feelings just switch off randomly and I feel absolutely nothing toward anyone. It was scary :O

But I'm feeling better a little bit each day and slightly more like myself.

Your comments made me smile and laugh ^^ Thank you
