Angry OCD. - November 9th 2011, 10:12 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

So I was diagnosed with OCD and depression back in 2009. Throughout 2009, I was receiving treatment and by end of that year/start of 2010 I was better and didn't have to see anyone. Throughout 2010, I was so much better. I felt so good about everything. But then this year, my OCD has taken it's toll on me. And I can't handle it anymore. I just want to be normal. I just freak out whenever I know there's not a chance of catching something like HIV like touching someone.

Re: OCD. - November 9th 2011, 03:59 PM

Hi Rianna.

Wow. For the first time in 6 years of being on this site, I've come across someone with exactly the same OCD obsession as I had for years.

I'm sorry to hear you're going through it.

My best advice is that if you found the therapy you had before helpful, you should definitely try it again.

As difficult as your life is right now, please know that complete recovery, without relapse, is possible. I am proof of that. Also, I completely understand how abnormal you feel, I felt like such a freak of nature.

If you ever want someone to talk to who understands what you're going through, please message me. I'm all too aware of how isolating OCD is and, knowing what you're going through, I would hate for you to be alone with it.

Take care,

Jasmine. x
