Unhappy i think i have a.d.d? - March 25th 2009, 04:03 AM

well, im not really sure but im pretty sure,
i am a bit a.d.d. for example.
- im completely unorganized
- i procrastinate more than anything, which im doing right now, im supposed to be in bed, to wake up for school, but here i am at 12.a.m posting this.
- im always happy and hyperish which makes my friends think im high
- im always swaying back and forth
- my feet are always moving or taping.
- i cant concentrate on something for a certain amount of time
- i start something, do a million other things, and rarely ever finish, but if i do finish it, its after all those million of others things i did.
- at night, when i'm finally tucked in under my covers, i get back up, and do a million more things.

I'm moving this to Mental Health, instead of General Health.

I'm going to post a link which lists alot of symptoms of ADD and may be of some help to you. It has alot of information.

If you suspect you may have ADD, pay a visit to your doctor. Let them know the reasons you believe you have ADD (perhaps take a list to show them) as well as how long you have had these symptoms.

i cant diagnose you with add but with the symtoms you gave you most likey do have it. i would just talk to your doctor about this and see what he says. if you do have it treatment is very easy you juust take medicine in the morning for it and it helps you concentrate a whole lot more

i cant diagnose you, but i do want to say this. For YEARS I thought i had ADD. I had many of the problems that you listed. I got tested a number of times for ADD and was told that I did not score high enough on the test. I also got tested for diabetes, also the test for that came back negative. Turns out what I have is a pre-diabetic condition that the stupid (yeah i know its mean, but accurate) drs did not think to test me for. moral of the story. you might ask your doctor to do a fasting glucose test just to rule out the possiblity that your insuline is too high that it can be causing these problems, but not high enought that you have diabetes.

I have been suprised about the amount of people who i have talked to about this and they have learned that their insulin is high, but they dont have diabetes. It seems that most doctors dont think to look unless asked. So, i would advise asking. good luck

Hey. :]

We're obviously cannot diagnose you with ADD, but yes, it is one of the many possibilities. Take a look at the link Kathy gave you. It might help a lot!

Your best bet would be to go see a doctor. They can do all the necessary tests and put your mind at ease once and for all!

Good luck and take care.

Obviously, as the others said, we cannot diagnose you, but the link Kathy gave you may be of some help. I also agree with the others when they say to go see a doctor about it.

Sounds more like ADHD to me. Very little difference, but should you see a doctor, tell him about your hyperactive symptoms.

And this sounds like you might have it. Get yourself checked out.
