Just a quirk or something more? - December 16th 2011, 09:32 PM

Hi guys,
So for a long time I've had a weird issue. I feel very weird around pictures- if there is a picture of someone looking directly at me, I get very self-conscious- I almost feel like the picture can actually hear or see what I'm doing. I love singing (but am self-conscious of my voice), so I can't even bring myself to practice singing in my room because of it! Even if I cover the picture up, I still feel weird doing something like singing. I almost feel like the picture's watching me. But if the picture isn't appearing to look directly at you, I'm (usually) fine. Is this just a weird quirk, or do you think it might be something more? I know this sounds stupid because I know the picture isn't an actual person looking at me. But still....ugh.
I go to therapy, do you think this would be something I could bring up? I just figured that maybe I'll get some answers on here before I go to my therapist- I'll most likely still bring it up.

I used to be like that too, when I hung up new posters of bands, I wouldn't change my clothes in my room because I had the feeling they were watching me. I just got used to it after a while. I don't think it's anything strange, just a quirk.
