Feeling like nobody else is real? - January 20th 2012, 09:28 PM

I feel like everyone else doesn't see 1st person and im the only person that does. Ive had it all my life but it's all I can think about and I get stresses out and just cry. I want to be normal.. I do know everyone is real but i get this feeling all the time. And I hate it. When I go out it becomes really overwhelming and I sometimes get trouble breathing and I feel sick.
Ive always felt like this and I just want it to go away.
The thing is that I KNOW everyone is real but I feel this way all the time.

I went to the doc yesterday and he reckons Im depressed. But clearly if I've felt this way my whole life then it can't e depression? He's refered me to a adolescence mental heath 'specialist' so I'll talk to them about this feeling.

My mum did research on it after I broke down to her last night and explained it to her and she found it's pretty common but I hate it so much.

She said if I get help, it will go but I wish I never have felt like this in the frat place. Its so overwhelming.

Any advice?

It's really hard to understand what you are trying to explain. What do you mean by "I feel like everyone else doesn't see 1st person and im the only person that does." Maybe you could try explaining it a little more clearly. People here do want to help you, but sometimes it is difficult to understand peoples posts, especially if English isn't your first language. It's ok if it isn't, we want to help, but is there a different way you could try and explain what is going on.

It is difficult to understand what you are trying to say. Please try it again. There are lots of people here who would like to help and lend an ear.

I know these people dont understand what you are saying but i do, i feel exactly the same way i didnt know if anyone could relate to this, but since i was little i always thought that "life" was a game of some sort, like theres someone or something who made this world or life so that they could watch me suffer or that they could just watch but everyone and everything around me isnt real. I understand what your saying that no one sees in first person because honestly we can only see through OUR eyes and honestly i have no idea what the other people see because all i can see is their body and thats not enough proof for me to believe that they are really there. My therapist said it was depression also but i know that already and i know that were real but every now and then but recently more frequently , i believe that im being watched and that nothing is real...

Thank you for clarifying that, and please forgive my lack of understanding. Keep an open mind when you go see the specialist, and be honest with them about how you are feeling. It must be difficult to live through life in this way, but it's good that you are able to talk about it with people you trust.

I hope that might help a little.

Well, you're not the only one... I think that pretty often, too, like everyone else isn't real and just exists in my head. I don't have a counselor though, so I don't have any professional opinions. Just know that's you're not alone, and it'll be okay <3

I'm sorry everyone but you aren't exactly helping the situation to me it looks as though you are making it worse.

You are an artist and I get what you mean you can explain it however you want if someone else can't understand well it's their chance to try not your chance to feel more alone.

I have felt like this before, you might just be more tuned in than other people, it just means you should take more control over your relationships try out new things and look for good, things you like get down to earth, treat yourself.

The majority of people are a bit small minded and take whatever they get, stay safe and don't let just anyone prescribe you pills - your normal, just imaginative and it sounds like lot of the professionals will just be curious, make sure you open up to the RIGHT people, people you truly trust, people you truly love, make new friends, find people on your wave length! I promise it's not as big a deal as you think. Everyone has their own reality.

Hope you're okay don't let people drive you mad by letting you think anything is wrong with you because everything is right to you just take control of it.
