Very little Food - April 10th 2014, 07:32 PM

About 4 days ago I started to make myself throw up after dinner and have been ever sense. In the matter of 4 days I became really aware to what I am eating. I eat around [Edited.] Started to count calories, drink tons and tons of water, throwing up my food. I have been really, really, hungry but the thoughts of eating makes me so uncomfortable! I feel so guilty after I eat... And tonight, my dad is picking up a burger from McDonald's and I'm so disgusted yet, I'm going to have to eat it... and I already know I'm going to throw it up... I am a little nervous that this is going to turn into an eating disorder like how my self-harm escalated... I just can't stop now! That emptiness in my stomach makes me feel accomplished. And another issue I'm having is our scale does not have batteries in it and its driving me crazy!!! I'm so scared about tonight's meal... I don't want to eat it but if I don't I'll get in trouble!

And I'm not skinny so I am not anorexic and I don't make myself eat large amounts of food and throw it up so i'm not bulimic. I just throw up what ever I eat and eat very very minimal in food...

Is anyone else going through this?

And last night I was so hungry because we ate around 4:30 in the afternoon I made myself throw up after I went to my room and went to sleep to get the thoughts of eating out of my head. All night I was hungry but I kept myself busy to keep myself from eating anymore.

Hey there.

I'm sorry you took so long to get a reply. If nothing else, I want to reassure you that you're not alone in going through this. I, along with many others, have struggled with ED issues, and always feel free to PM/VM me if you want to talk about this.

While it may not fall into the typical categories of anorexia and bulimia, you may be suffering from a purging disorder, a type of eating disorder not otherwise specified (EDNOS), which is when someone doesn't necessarily binge but purges food they do eat. The good thing is that you have identified that there's a problem, and you're willing to take steps to make sure it doesn't escalate, which is great! Have you considered telling someone you trust about your issue? If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parent(s)/guardian(s), you could seek the help of a counsellor at your school or talk to your doctor/general practitioner. You may be referred to someone who specialises in EDs, and, while this may be intimidating, it will help you to get the help you deserve.

There are many people who dont like eating.Most of them do so to reduce there weight,but you shouldnt give up eating just to get slim.You must seek medical help to know whats wrong.You must eat fruits or vegetables,eating burger once in a week isn't bad idea.
