Unhappy help - April 17th 2014, 08:33 AM

How do I start eat again? I do eat like 1-2 times a day and my parents is starting to understand that somethings wrong.... Someone who can help me?

Hi there!

I have moved your post to Eating Disorders because you will get more appropriate advice there.

I agree with what Gareth said about your parents knowing about the issue. I think that they are starting to catch on, so it's probably best for you to be honest with them about things before they find out on their own. They can then get you the appropriate help with what is going on so you can work through everything and start eating appropriately again.

I think that it would be really beneficial for you to see someone such as a doctor or nutritionist. It is very important that you eat three healthy meals a day so your body can stay healthy and have the energy to do its functions. A doctor or nutritionist would be able to help you develop an appropriate diet and exercise plan so you can begin to eat appropriately again.

It may also be beneficial for you to see a professional such as a therapist who can help you solve any problems that are going on that are causing you to not want to eat properly. They can really help you boost your self esteem and self confidence so it's not as big of a problem anymore. If that's not an issue, at lest try a guidance counselor in school.

This is a link to a list of reasons to recover from your eating disorder. This can give you some motivation to start recovery.

Reward yourself for any progress you do make, even if it's something small, because it all adds up!

Hopefully others will come along to help soon, but I wanted to give you my bit.
