Letter to Ed - October 2nd 2014, 06:22 AM

So I thought people struggling with there recovery from an ed or just struggling with there Ed could write a letter to it...If you don't want to that's fine it was just an idea.Or you can just read mine and comment on it. I'll start:

You started out as away to get control over my life after I stopped cutting but pretty soon you became so much more than that to me. I was getting thin and I loved it so I continued on starving and getting thinner. I was in control of what went in my body but pretty soon I lost that control. I don't remember when I started purging but MIA gave me this high every time I did it and made me feel good. I went to treatment to take back the control you have taken from me. I am struggling but I know I am stronger than you. I know what I'm doing is wrong but you tell me it's right and I choose to start listening to myself instead of you.

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are

I really like your letter. You started listening to yourself instead of Ana and Mia, I proud of you. If only I could start listening to myself instead of my thoughts/undiagnosed ED. I am glad that you are trying to recover. I hope that you continue to.Good Luck!

I really like this letter. You realize that your ED is messing things up in your life and you finally told your ED that you are going to take control of your life now. So proud of you for writing this!
