Dietician appointment tomorrow - June 2nd 2016, 11:46 PM

I have not been eating very well. I have been going days where I eat just one meal. Maybe two. Or a day where at eat and eat. I haven't been writing down what I eat but I have started.

I have a appointment with a Dietician tomorrow. I am so scared she is going to rip me a new one. On my eating habits and yell at me for starving myself.

I just want to know what to expect

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are

She won't yell at you, that would be very unprofessional! An important thing to remember is that she's there to help you, and work with you. Yes, she will probably comment on your eating habits and draw you up a plan or a schedule that involves regular healthy eating, and that may be very difficult for you right now. Are you in any other treatment right now? It's also very important to be very honest with your dietician

Take as long as you need.

I have an ED therapist and she is helpful.

If she does yell at you then she is unprofessional and not someone you should continue seeing. A good dietitian will comment about your eating habits and let you know that it is not good for you and then they will draw you up a plan on how to eat better. They also might make suggestions on things you can do when you are really struggling with your ED behaviors and not feeling up to eating. I remember when I was in treatment the dietitian would give us tips on what we could do in these instances.

I am also glad that you have a therapist that you are seeing. Hopefully the two of you can work on coming up with tools to deal with your eating disorder. Is the therapist the one that made the referral or suggestion that you go to a dietitian? If she referred you to this person it is likely that they have experience with working with people who have disordered eating.
