Sorry that you're struggling with this. Do you think about talking to a counselor at school about it, or try doing something else to avoid this? Such as exercising, or relaxing/playing with your pet?

Hi Merideth.

Sorry to learn that you're struggling.

I think that in order to stop, you're going to have be completely selfless. You are pregnant and your baby needs nutrients. If you keep throwing up, you are effectively starving him or her.

If your answer to this is that you can't help it, then now is the time to seek professional help, i.e. go back to see your doctor.

Morning sickness is normal in pregnancy, but forcing yourself to throw up is not. You have already said in this thread, "I know I don't need to lose weight but I feel like I need to be thinner". If you are pregnant, you need to maintain a healthy weight, not try to get "thinner". If you want to lose weight, you can focus on that once the baby is born. Now is not the time because you are in danger of harming this unborn child.

You are also jeopardising your own health, as Ailurophile mentioned in the thread I previously linked to. Purging is extremely damaging to your internal body structure and people who do it for long enough can end up needing surgery to repair the damage.

As I said, please seek help from your doctor.

Jasmine
