Making progress but.... - February 14th 2019, 12:58 AM

As Iíve been working on recovery, I still have really strong temptations sometimes. I just wish I could quit eating altogether. Someone pls tell me not to.

It's ok, all of us are likely to have really strong temptations / urges to back slide when in recovery. All you can do is your best. Try not to engage in disordered behaviours, follow up with your therapist or someone else on your recovery team if needed if it's getting really overwhelming.

Do you have any positive and effective strategies in place? I feel like these will improve with time.

Hello, I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with this right now and hope that you will be okay soon. Would you be able to talk to somebody that you truly trust and let them know that you are having a hard time with this right now and let them help you out? Would you be able to talk to the school counselor or a teacher that you trust and tell them what is going on and that you need help. Or if you are able to talk to your parents about this. Sometimes when we are going through something we may have a hard time opening up to someone and letting them in. We all need help with something and it is totally fine to ask for it.

You do not want to stop eating that is not good for you. We all need to have food to keep us going. So that we have energy and we are healthy. Look at food as putting gas in your car, without that your vehicle cannot go anywhere and it won't be able to move. That is how we would be without food, when we do not have any food in us it is hard to get around and to be okay. Try to let someone in that can help you out with this so that you will be okay soon. I hope that you will be alright soon. Sending you hugs.

Stop eating isn`t a solution to the problem. Think about the result.
