seeign stars - March 29th 2010, 11:46 AM

Alright well the pas while when I relapse and binge, I almost always purge... Anyawys... My question is... If I ;purge something big, or something that takes a lot of strength, I see stars and have almost passed out 3 times... Last night I had pizza, and fuck that killed coming up, but I saw stars for like a minute.

anyone else see stars when they purge? Is it healty? Well, I know it's not healthy, but like, is it something that I should be concerned about?

No, I do not have an eating disorder, but yes, all of them are very serious, I'm not a specialist on this, but I do think you should be concerned about these habbits. Seeing stars are deffinately not a good sign.

Hi Sophie,

Seeing stars is not a good sign. The fact that you're feeling weak, and continuing to use ED symptoms, isn't good either; you're not giving your body what it needs, and it's struggling. Passing out, seeing stars, feeling weak, all of those are your body's response to the ED behaviors you're engaging in (purging, restricting, etc.) and do warrant medical attention.

Many of your previous posts have indicated physical symptoms like these as well, and it's important that you get them checked out to make sure that your body isn't in serious danger. Additionally, it would be good to see a doctor and/or therapist to help you to decrease the amount of ED behaviors you're engaging in, and move forward in your recovery. I know it's scary and hard but it's just not worth it to keep being this sick. It doesn't get better on its own, it gets worse. You deserve freedom from your ED.

I'm going to close this, since your question has been answered and I can't see any other responses providing drastically different information. Please take care of yourself and don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions or want to talk.
