Post Am i developing an ED ??? - July 14th 2011, 03:53 PM

so my mum said i should be eating (edited) grams of fat a day ( UK standards) , and i'm only eating (edited) grams .. is this the start of an eating disorder or ... ?
i dont eat anything for breakfast , no snacks , lunch maybe a sandwich and tea well depends ..

if i'm with friends which is often , or cleaning and what not , i will forget about eating and wont eat anything through out the day , nor will i be hungry ..
in 2 weeks ive lost (edited)lbs .. but i think maybe that's the after effect of starving myself for 2 weeks * yes i know starving doesn't make you loose weight*

i feel like ive trained my mind not to eat .. i mean its not on my to do list of the day ..

so what do you think ?

Sorry it took me a while to reply. That said, I feel like you're definitely headed on the road to an eating disorder, if not there alreadyy. Mind you, I'm no doctor, so this is not a diagnosis. Your behavior definitely is that of a person who has an eating disorder. I think you should consider talking to someone about this. Eating disorders are a lot more fatal and dangerous than one would think. It would be to your benefit to research health risks of anorexia. It's a quick search on google. Just look around. Do you have anyone you can talk to about this? If so, I would try to gather as much support as you can. Support is going to get you through this. Also, positive mindset is key. This will make it better. It will take time though. Is there anything specifically that is triggering this behavior? If so, maybe we can help you sort through some of it, or help you get some support!

no it was fine , and i was afraid of that , some people think its fine unless i eat nutrients and fibre etc ..
but i think its because of the bullying , and the constant worry that im not beautiful or thin enough .. and a trigger ? i have many many triggers . for example : not being able to walk into a shop see some clothes i like and its not in my size ! and looking at all my friends , how they get all the boyfriends because there pretty and THIN !

but i know your not a doctor ! i will talk to my GP Soon or my therapist next week .thankyou xx
