I have the same problem.
What you want to do is restrict food, and portion it. Keep the sweets and fatties away from you, try to buy less of those and more of fiber and fruit. Drink water, not soda/coffee. When you feel the desire to eat, chew on gum. The juice your saliva produces will satiate you for a while. As long as it keeps you from eating. Otherwise, you could try having small snacks through the day. Just little munchies, chex mix, a piece of sliced fruit, anything small that will just satisfy your food needs. I'm going through a cycle of binge eating.
In order for me to control it I go to the grocery store and I buy healthy foods (fruit, veggies, reduced fat & low calorie snacks) and foods that help me feel fuller (fiber bars, protein bars, etc.) and I make sure I limit my daily intake, not to the point of starvation, but no more than the suggested amount of calories a day. Then if I feel like eating more and more I drink a massive amount of water. In conclusion, avoid fatty foods when binging and try eating healthier foods to make it so it's not that bad. Good luck and if you find anything else that works for you, please let me know.

Yeah, and let me know as well!
![]() The toughest thing for me is that my mom gives me food to take back to my condo with me. -_- So annoying, I'm like "mom, I have plenty of food!"

Overcoming binge eating can be really difficult. As well as any type of Eating Disorder. And yes, binge eating is a type of eating disorder. What you should do, is set a daily meal plan. Include filling, yet HEALTHY foods. Such as things that are high in fiber. Include lots of fruits and vegies in your meal plan. It will really help. And honestly, if you feel like binging, fill up on fruits and vegies..because they're healthy. But the important thing is getting you out of your rituals and habits. Another thing you should consider doing is seeing a nutritionist. They can plan a healthy diet for you that you're comfortable with. The only thing you have to do is follow it. And that can be extremely difficult. But things like this take effort. And Rome wasn't built in a day. ;] Take care.
