Unhappy This isn't okay, but it feels so good... - January 7th 2012, 04:13 AM

I keep finding myself not eating, and it's not so much that I consciously do it that I'm just in the habit of not eating, and it's really not okay because I don't wanna fall back into anorexia...
But tonight I was with some friends, and one of them said I look like I've lost weight... I haven't felt that good in a long time... But I know I'm not doing it in a healthy way.
And it doesn't help that I'm already iron deficient because I'm a vegitarian...

I would start to seek help - the longer you wait the worse it will get. Relapse into anything like this is bad (just as bad as drugs) and it is even harder to get rid of the second time (in most cases). So before you get worse seek help - and try to get back on track.

Hey Summer,

Welcome to staff, btw. Falling back into an eating disorder is one of the scariest things that can happen, because you've been that low before, and see it happening again. However, you do have control of what happens. Why don't you talk to your friends about what is going on, the friends that mentioned it? If they are good friends, you can tell them that your habits have come back, and that the weight you have loss is not healthy. They can help you get in touch with somebody who can help you, such as a professional, and get you back to a place you can be.

I'm a vegetarian too, high five! But often, people with disordered eating use these kinds of diets as excuses to get out of eating. If you are aware you are doint that, you may want to take a break from your vegetarian diet until you have control over your eating disordered habits and are able to withhold the diet without restricting. If you decide to stay vegetarian, I'm going to leave you some information online about keeping a nutritious diet as a vegetarian right here. There are many ways to get the nutrients you need as a vegetarian!
