Odd eating habits -
January 12th 2012, 02:07 AM
Not sure what I'm really looking for or whatever so I'll just post this and feel free to answer as you feel appropriate.
For as long as I can remember I've always had weird eating habits. Pretty much every1 around me all my life could easily eat just 3 meals a day, possibly a small snack here and there. Me on the other hand I'm lucky if I can do 2 decent meals a day for more then a few days at a time then I'm either just not hungry at all (usually forced to eat something then) or I can only handle 1 meal and possiblly a snack. On the flip side though sometimes I can just eat and eat pretty much all day, paying for it later though. Sometimes I eat due to my mood sometimes I wont eat due to my mood..other times I just dont know why I either am not hungry or cant stop eating. I dunno if this is something that's sorta normal or if its something I really should be concerned about and get it looked into. I just don't wanna waste the time if all I'm gonna be told is its normal for whatever reason. Sorry for the ramble and sorry if it doesn't make sense. ![]() |

To me at least, this sounds sort of normal. I think most people's appetite is affected by how they feel and by other psychological and physiological factors. If you have a lot of physical activity one day vs. no activity the next, the time of the month for women can have an effect too (because of how it makes them feel). If you have a real concern about it, it can't hurt to have things checked out by a doctor. :\
"Ignore the ramblings of the ignorant, and step on or over their crumpled bodies as you make your way to the top of the mountain. Eat upon their flesh for fuel, and, through your determination and will, banish them to obscurity and a life of complacency and self righteousness that is the hell in which they live"

,As Alex said, some of these habits are quite normal. We go through phases where if depression or something is bothering us, our eating habits changed. However, do not completely rely on food as your sole way of expressing your sadness. I would recommend trying to up your meals eaten per day, eating three meals with some snacks in between. Start with small meals, and just increase from there. And if you are unable to improve, or you are just feeling worse and worse, I would highly recommend you talk to a counselor about your relationship with food. Good luck lovely, you're beautiful!
