Numb Ankle and Toe - April 21st 2012, 03:46 PM

I am getting really worried. The side of my big toe on my right foot has gone kind of numb. It's been like it since Thursday and the feeling doesn't seem to be returning. I read that it could be because my shoes are too tight and therefore it's damaged a nerve... which makes sense because I bought new ones on Wednesday.

But today under my ankle and across the top of my foot has gone numb too and when I had a look at symptoms online, it came up with all of these awful diseases. It's really freaked me out.

I don't know whether I've just damaged my foot, or whether it's because I'm sat down too long.
I've just bandaged my foot to see if the pressure will help to restore the feeling. Any advice or tips?

if it's swollen, try icing it. whatever you do DO NOT PUT HEAT ON IT unless advised by a doctor! in some situations, like a strain, heat will make up worse .

you should see a doctor. it doesnt sound like nerve damage, but loss of feeling is serious.

I wanna fly. So I do gymnastics instead.

I'll just keep holding on to what i believe and oh I believe in you. Give me the strength for the fight and the heart to believe cause I've got to believe in you. I feel so alive.
