Question I want to gain weight - June 5th 2012, 03:24 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

Okay so I was doing a bit of research earlier and according to some websites, in order for me to be at an ideal and healthy weight, I need to gain at least [EDIT] pounds. I don't want it to be gained too quickly though, but I would like to see some results in a reasonable amount of time. I would need to take in [EDIT] calories a day in order for me to reach that goal. The problem is, I don't know how many meals to eat, or even WHAT to eat for that matter. All I know is, I'm tired of being stick thin. So what are your suggestions?

Mod: Please refrain from using weight numbers or calorie numbers. Thank you.

Find out your basic metabolic rate (search it on the internet, you can find calculators. But they will be really rough) then you'll also find the Harris something (lol) calculator to times it by your activity level. I used something else but I can't remember it.

After that, increase your calories and lift weights. You'll be better of gaining muscle than just fat. Eat protein too. Actually, you'll find a lot of it on the internet but I can't use calorie numbers because people go mad or something.

Hey, guess why i smile a lot... because it's worth it
